Affordable Rent

All of our Affordable Rent lettings are advertised through the Local Authority’s Choice Based Lettings system, meaning that applicants must have been assessed for housing need by the Council. Applicants can bid through the Council’s housing portal and if successful, Grainger Trust will contact them after they are nominated. 

Discount Market Rent

All of our Discount Market Rent units are advertised through the applicable regional social housing lettings scheme (e.g. Hampshire Home Choice and Homes for Londoners) which requires households to evidence their eligibility in line with their own criteria before applying.

Please note Grainger Trust requires a two week’s deposit for Affordable Rented units and one month’s deposit for Discount Market Rented units. This will always be protected with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and you will receive it back at the end of your tenancy subject to any reasonable deductions. If you are unable to afford the deposit, you may be eligible for support from your Local Authority.

Shared Ownership

All of our Shared Ownership units are marketed through partnerships with local estate agents and also advertised on the Regional Housing Service portal.
