Our environment
Aligned to our goal of protecting the long-term future of our business, we are committed to measuring our environmental impact, and taking appropriate action to ensure it is as positive as it can be.

Our long-term commitments:
- Achieve net zero carbon for the operation of our buildings by 2030.
Decarbonising our assets
We are committed to achieving net zero carbon operation of our buildings, in alignment with the best practice framework set by the UK Green Building Council. This requires us to:
- Reduce energy demand through energy efficiency initiatives
- Invest in low carbon energy infrastructure
- Procure renewable energy to power building services
We have an action plan to achieve 100% renewable electricity procurement, and are investing in renewable and low-carbon technologies such as solar and heat pumps.

Reducing our environmental footprint
We consider how to minimise carbon emissions from the development of our buildings, from investing in modern methods of construction, to using recycled materials in our fit-out. We are proud of our exemplar record on the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
